Too many people are viewing online business as something only for the guru’s who’ve already made it. It seems like the people having success started when the internet was young so they’ve always had the leading edge. This is a common misconception as the internet is still a child. There’s no better time then now to jump on board.
Internet space is limitless and with more people getting on board that just means a bigger audience to attract with online business. People all over the place are online and the means for accessing the Internet are getting easier each day. Now the move is towards mobile outlets, with ipods and cell phones connecting people at anytime, anywhere.
Customer service is hugely important to any business, especially a small one. Be sure to treat your customers with great care so they’ll want to keep coming back. Also try to avoid harassing them with salespeople and mindless ads, hammering your customers will only irritate them, not make them buy more. Be sure you know what kind of people it is you are selling to, you should know the market and the product well before starting anything. Be specific in your advertising, the more niche oriented you are the more likely you are to produce sales. Make sure you’ve tested the product beforehand too.
What’s one thing that people hate more the annoying salespeople? The sneaky ones that try and cover up the faults in a product. Instead, try acknowledging any faults and putting a positive spin on things. Be as honest as possible with your customers and try to help them solve a problem. A good way to grab a potential customers attention is by directing them to a problem, then offering a solution.
